Scoolendar is looking for a motivated Software Engineer with knowledge of JavaScript, Python, React/React Native, Typescript and PHP/Laravel to help us develop and improve our platform for Australian homeschooling families. With the following interests/skills:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality innovative mobile application. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code. Role Details
- Position: Software Engineer
- Commitment: Part-time, with regular weekly online team meetings conducted in English
- Location: Remote, with most team members based in Australia
- Engagement: Volunteer contribution or paid, task-based work, depending on the agreed arrangement and project requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop quality software and web applications
- Analyse and maintain existing software applications
- Design highly scalable, testable code
- Discover and fix programming bugs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- Development experience with programming languages
- SQL database or relational database skills
Scoolendar is a not-for-profit EdTech project designed for Australian homeschooling families.
We provide flexible hours, great team spirit, positive environment, modern project-management tools, and recommendations according to your successful project engagement.
Currently we are meeting weekly on Thursday evenings (Sydney time).
We're only looking for individual programmers and not the companies.
You're preferably speaking English and Russian and have at least 5 hrs/week available for Scoolendar project.
