The Opportunity

GMCT is seeking two experienced Senior Project Managers to join our Built Environment team and play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of capital works, asset renewal and infrastructure projects across GMCT sites and regions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional to take ownership of projects from inception through to delivery, managing scope, budget, timelines, risks, stakeholders, consultants and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Manage multiple concurrent capital works, asset and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion across sites.
- Lead project planning, governance, procurement, tendering and contractor/consultant management.
- Manage project budgets, costs, risks, issues, timelines, quality and scope.
- Establish and facilitate project working groups and provide project reporting to relevant governance forums.
- Engage and manage consultants, contractors and relevant authorities throughout project delivery.




- Provide quality assurance and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with GMCT's governance, procurement, financial and OHS requirements.

Qualifications and experience:

- 10+ years experience in project management, construction management or relevant industry experience.

To be successful in this position you will require:

- Proven track record of delivering a number of complex and/or high risk projects.
- Qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or other related certifications or education
- Use of project management software such as; MS Project, PMO 365.
- End to end product/project scope management including scope, benefits and change definition.
- Ability to manage operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project teams, steering committees/control groups and operational teams.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and networks to negotiate and influence project outcomes.
- Ability to adapt with changing business priorities and needs, including context switching across multiple initiatives.
