As a Junior Mechanical Engineer/Drafter at Innovent Engineering Group Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of projects from concept through to execution. Joining our team in Forrestdale, WA, you will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive the growth and success of our organisation. What you'll be doing
· Assist in defining project mechanical requirements and developing appropriate engineering solutions.
· Assist with developing mechanical designs from concept through to detailed engineering, construction and commissioning.
· Assist with the design of mechanical systems for both greenfield and brownfield sites.
· Undertake basic engineering calculations and prepare mechanical engineering documentation.
· Develop and update mechanical drawings as part of the overall engineering design.
· Work closely with the drafting team in the development and preparation of mechanical engineering drawings.
· Assist with the development and continuous improvement of mechanical engineering solutions and design processes.
· Work closely with engineers, project teams and the workshop to ensure the integrity, practicality and constructability of mechanical designs.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical designs are effectively integrated with other engineering disciplines.
· Identify opportunities to improve designs, drafting processes and engineering documentation.
What we're looking for
· A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Demonstrated experience or capability in mechanical drafting and preparation of engineering drawings using CAD software
· Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design processes and relevant Australian Standards
· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, designers and the drafting team
· A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality engineering documentation
· Ability to interpret engineering specifications, sketches and technical drawings, with an understanding of relevant standards and safety requirements
· Previous drafting or engineering experience in an industrial, mining or manufacturing environment is desirable
