About the role

Tiger Burger is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Hand, Cook, All Rounder to join our team at our West End QLD location. This is a part-time position offering flexibility whilst contributing to our fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be integral to maintaining our high standards of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and service delivery. This role is perfect for someone looking to build a career in hospitality or gain valuable culinary experience in a dynamic setting.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking food items according to Tiger Burger recipes and quality standards
- Assisting with food preparation tasks including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including regular cleaning and sanitising of workstations and equipment
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and prep stations
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Monitoring food stock levels and assisting with stock rotation using FIFO principles
- Following food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Communicating effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Assisting with general kitchen duties as required, including washing dishes and managing waste

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a kitchen hand, cook, or in a similar hospitality kitchen role (desirable but not essential)
- A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously




- Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to take direction and work collaboratively
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items regularly
- Flexibility with scheduling to accommodate part-time hours and potential weekend or evening shifts
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Relevant food handling certification or willingness to obtain it
