Downtown Albury Pty Ltd is seeking one talented Chef to join our restaurant in the vibrant city of Albury, NSW.
About the Full-Time, Ongoing Position
Our celebrated restaurant is a top destination for lovers of great Italian-styled food and wine. Following the recent departure of an employee, we have one immediate vacancy for a skilled and qualified full-time Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to our success.
Location
472 Dean St, Albury, NSW
Salary
A salary in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum will be offered to the successful applicant.
Tenure
This is a full-time, ongoing position with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in leading and inspiring the kitchen team to deliver the best results.
- Prepare and cook meals under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Assist in managing kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control, and budgeting.
- Participate in the development and testing of new menu items.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S; and Food Safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to lead the venue to greater success.
Skill & Experience
About You
You have a passion for the hospitality industry and stay updated on techniques and food trends. You demonstrate an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality while contributing to a cohesive and hardworking team setting.
To Be Successfully Considered You:
- Possess a relevant post-secondary hospitality (cooking) qualification at Certificate IV or Diploma level or above, or an agreed alternative.
- Have at least one year of relevant professional experience.
- Are available across the working week, including weekends and nights.
- Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals, and have the determination to achieve them.
- Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
- Understand cost control, time management, prioritisation, and cost-efficient procurement practices.
- Have experience working in a similar role.
- Are an excellent team player with great communication skills.
- Offer unrestricted full-time Australian working rights.
