LANDSCAPE DESIGNER / GRADUATE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

3D VISUALISATION & DESIGN

1–3 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 Super (commensurate with experience)

Conlon Group is a boutique landscape architecture practice based on the Sunshine Coast, creating highly considered residential landscapes that combine architecture, craftsmanship, horticultural knowledge and a strong connection to place.

With an exciting pipeline of projects and continued growth within the practice, we are seeking a talented Landscape Designer or Graduate Landscape Architect to join our design team.

This is a hands-on design role suited to someone who enjoys developing ideas both visually and technically — working across concept design, 3D modelling, visualisation, presentations and detailed landscape documentation.

You will be involved in projects from their early design stages through to construction, gaining exposure to the complete landscape design and delivery process while working closely with experienced members of the Conlon Group team.

We are looking for someone who is curious, motivated and passionate about design, with a genuine desire to develop their skills, contribute to exceptional project outcomes and grow with the practice.

THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE

- Assisting with concept design and design development.
- 3D modelling and design development using SketchUp.
- Landscape visualisation and presentation development using Lumion.
- Preparation of landscape documentation using AutoCAD.
- Graphic presentation and design communication using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Researching materials, planting and landscape elements.
- Assisting with detailed design and technical documentation.
- Exposure to client and consultant coordination.
- Site inspections and involvement in construction and project delivery.





THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL

- Have approximately 1–3 years qualified experience in landscape architecture, landscape design or a closely related design field.
- Hold, or be completing, a relevant qualification in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Design.
- Have strong design sensibility and excellent attention to detail.
- Be confident using SketchUp, with demonstrated experience producing high-quality visualisations in Lumion.
- Have experience using AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Enjoy being actively involved in modelling, drawing, documentation and developing design ideas.
- Have a genuine interest in landscape, architecture, planting, materials and the creation of beautifully resolved outdoor environments.
- Be curious, proactive and willing to learn.
- Communicate well and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a design team.
- Take pride in the quality of their work and want to continue developing professionally.
