About Us

Earth Design Landscaping & Construction (The Trustee for Earth Design and Construction Trust, ABN 65 545 439 396) is a Sunshine Coast-based landscaping and construction business specialising in residential and commercial landscape construction. Our projects include structural landscaping, retaining walls, fencing, concreting, paving, decking, excavation, planting and complete landscape installations.

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team in a permanent, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

- Constructing and installing residential and commercial landscapes and gardens
- Consulting with clients and interpreting landscape plans, construction drawings and specifications
- Setting out works, calculating material quantities and assisting with cost estimates
- Site preparation, excavation and earthworks
- Constructing timber fencing, gates, retaining walls, garden edging and other landscape structures
- Preparing and placing concrete for landscape construction projects
- Installing paving, pathways, stepping stones and hardscape features
- Installing garden irrigation and drainage systems
- Soil preparation, turf installation, and planting trees, shrubs and garden beds
- Coordinating daily site activities and supervising labourers where required
- Operating landscaping machinery, power tools and equipment safely
- Maintaining high workmanship standards and completing projects efficiently




- Working independently and as part of a small construction team

Skills & Experience

- Minimum two years' relevant practical experience in landscape construction, structural landscaping or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience constructing fencing, gates, retaining walls, paving and concrete landscape features
- Experience with excavation and site preparation
- Competence using landscaping/construction tools, machinery and equipment
- Ability to interpret landscape plans and construction specifications
- Ability to set out and complete landscape construction works
- Experience coordinating work activities and completing projects with minimal supervision
- Sound understanding of construction and workplace safety
- Solid communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Current driver's licence

A relevant landscaping or construction qualification will be highly regarded. Equivalent demonstrated industry experience will also be considered.
