Help us build the kind of veterinary hospital you've always wanted to work in
Full Time Veterinary Nurse | 2+ Years’ Experience
There's something different about joining a veterinary hospital at the beginning.
You're not inheriting years of "this is how we've always done it."
You get to help create what comes next.
We're looking for an experienced veterinary nurse who wants more than simply turning up, working their shift and going home. We want someone ambitious, proactive and keen to grow with a new hospital.
Someone who might one day look around and think, "I helped build this."
Different roles. Equal respect. One hospital we're building together.
We believe veterinary nurses are fundamental to the success of a great hospital.
That doesn't mean vets and nurses have the same responsibilities. They don't.
It means different roles deserve equal qualified respect.
We want nurses who use their initiative, think ahead, communicate well and take ownership of their responsibilities. In return, we want to give you the opportunity to develop your skills, contribute your ideas and potentially grow into leadership as the hospital grows.
What that looks like in real life
You'll have input into nursing protocols and workflows rather than simply being handed them.
We'll have weekly team meetings to discuss operations, training, what's working and what needs fixing.
As we grow, nurses will have defined roles such as surgical nurse, hospital nurse, consult nurse and recovery nurse. Daily huddles will help everyone understand the plan, anticipate pressure points and work efficiently so getting home on time becomes the norm, not good luck.
When something repeatedly goes wrong, we won't just tell everyone to work harder.
We'll look at the root cause,
improve the process and try to stop the same problem frustrating the team again.
We want structure and organisation, not chaos and confusion.
The kind of nurse who will thrive here
You notice what's happening around you.
You're learning to stay one step ahead of the vet. You manage your time, solve problems and use quieter periods to make something better.
You're accountable and open to feedback. Being corrected doesn't ruin your day. You take it onboard, learn from it and keep improving.
And you enjoy people as much as pets.
For us, great veterinary care includes giving the person attached to the other end of the lead a 10/10 experience.
The reality of the role
We're a new hospital. There will be times when you may be the sole nurse, managing phones and pet owners while assisting the vet and keeping patient care moving.
There will also be quieter periods while we grow.
If your instinct during those periods is to stand around waiting to be given something to do, this probably isn't your role.
We want someone who sees the opportunity to improve a protocol, organise something, train, follow up with an owner or simply ask, "What can I make better?"
There is potential for leadership here, but leadership means accountability, contribution and helping the people around you become better.
Grow with the hospital
This is a brand new hospital with brand new equipment. You'll literally be unwrapping some of it with us.
More importantly, you'll have the chance to help create the culture you want to work in.
We'll invest in developing the right person, and as the hospital grows, we want your opportunities to grow too.
We also make time for quarterly social activities because building a great hospital should include enjoying the people you're building it with.
Money
Pay reflects your experience, development and contribution.
