About the EcoCentre
The Port Phillip EcoCentre connects and inspires people to care for our land, water, wildlife and wellbeing. Since 1999, our multidisciplinary staff and 4000+ volunteers implement innovative environmental and climate action programs with a network across Naarm, Greater Melbourne. We recognise that ecosystems and the climate are in crisis, and believe that connected communities drive positive change.
One year ago, we launched the beautiful new Ecocentre, a ‘world-leadership’ rated sustainable facility which includes community education and meeting rooms, a community garden and kitchen, and Australia's first Citizen Science Lab. This lively community hub is surrounded by botanic gardens, just two blocks from the beach. Volunteers, families, students, businesses and affiliate groups visit our facilities to join us in citizen science, gardening, cooking, learning, repairing broken goods, skill‑building, research and more.
Telling the story of our people, programs and possibilities will help drive this exciting new chapter.
