We are seeking a reliable and hardworking labourer to assist with general laboring duties on construction sites. The successful candidate will work alongside tradespeople, supervisors and other site personnel to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist tradespeople and supervisors with general construction and labouring duties.
- Load, unload and move building materials, tools and equipment around the site.
- Assist with site preparation, set-up and clean-up.
- Perform general manual labour, including digging, lifting, carrying and moving materials.
- Use basic hand and power tools as required.
- Assist with demolition, concreting and other general construction tasks.
- Remove rubbish,
debris and construction waste and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with deliveries and the safe storage of materials.
- Follow directions from supervisors and complete tasks in a timely and skilled manner.
- Work cooperatively with tradespeople and other site personnel.
About the Role
This is a casual position , with hours and shifts varying depending on project requirements. The role is suited to someone who is physically fit, reliable, willing to learn and comfortable working in a busy construction environment.
Skills and Requirements
- Previous construction or labouring experience is essential.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual work.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- White Card required.
- Commuting by car is preferred but not essential
- Full working rights
