Administration and Compliance Coordinator: Rockhampton Flexible School
TENURE: Full-Time, Permanent START DATE: October 2026 (ASAP) CLASSIFICATION: School Officer, Level 5
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Administration and Compliance Coordinator main responsibility is to coordinate, maintain and complete specific school administration compliance requirements. The focus of this position is ensuring compliance against key school registration guidelines. The position involves working directly with children and young people on a daily basis and therefore must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate child safeguarding behaviours when engaging with children. All young people are owed a duty of care while in the supervision of the position. The position manages key records and systems and supports the delivery of quality services that contribute to a safe, responsive and well-organised learning environment for Young People, staff and stakeholders. These expectations of the Administration and Compliance Coordinator are shaped by the four touchstones of the EREA Charter, being: Gospel Spirituality; Inclusive Community; Liberating Education; and Justice and Solidarity.
ABOUT YOU:
- A current Working with Children Check, i.e. a Blue Card.
- A current First Aid certificate or ability to obtain.
- A current Driver Licence.
- Ability to engage and work positively with vulnerable and/or at-risk Young People.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including minute taking, report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other administrative systems, with the ability to learn new technologies and databases.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Minimum five years' experience in Administration.
- Proven ability to manage time, work autonomously, problem solve and use initiative as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience with office systems and service delivery functions.
- Proven ability to coordinate collection of qualitative and quantitative data from groups within the organisation to compile accurate acquittals, reports and submissions.
- Strong understanding of records management, information governance, privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
