Active Conductors Electrical is a growing Sydney-based commercial electrical contracting company specialising in commercial fit-outs, refurbishments and construction projects.

We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand Electrician to join our team and play an important role in the next stage of our growth.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working with a team and seeing a project through from start to finish.

About the Role

Working directly with the Director, you will take an active role in coordinating and delivering our commercial projects.

The role will involve

- Taking ownership of the electrical works on projects
- Coordinating electricians and apprentices on site
- Planning daily and upcoming works
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications and cable schedules
- Coordinating with builders, project managers and other trades
- Organising materials and site requirements
- Monitoring progress and keeping works moving
- Identifying design issues, clashes and potential delays
- Communicating site issues, variations and additional works with management
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
- Assisting with testing, defects and project handovers
- Working alongside the team on the tools when required
- Helping develop and maintain a professional and organised approach to project delivery

A Hands-On Leadership Role

This isn't a position where you'll spend your days sitting in an office. You'll be working alongside the team on the tools, while also taking responsibility for coordinating the electrical works and keeping the project moving.





We're looking for someone who can look at a job, understand what needs to happen, organise the team and take action without needing to be constantly directed.

You'll have direct communication with the Director and will be trusted with increasing responsibility as you demonstrate your ability to take ownership of projects.

About You

We're looking for a commercial electrician who is confident taking responsibility and enjoys working in a leadership role.

You will ideally have

- Current NSW Electrical Licence
- Strong commercial electrical experience
- Experience in commercial fit-outs and refurbishments
- Experience coordinating or leading electrical works on site
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to plan ahead and work independently
- Good problem-solving skills and initiative
- High standards of workmanship
- Ability to communicate confidently with builders and other trades
- Current Australian driver's licence
- White Card
- Own basic tools

Additional tickets such as EWP, Working at Heights or First Aid are an advantage.
