About The Prospect The Learning and Teaching Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring the effective delivery and support of learning and teaching activities across four Schools; School of Information and Communication Technology , School of Geography, Planning, and Spatial Sciences , School of Architecture and Design , and the School of Engineering .
As our new Learning and Teaching Support Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative support for both onshore and offshore activities, including examinations, results processing, timetabling, resourcing, and workforce planning.
This is a dynamic and varied role that requires strong administrative capability, sound judgement, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to staff and students.
Our ideal candidate is highly organised, adaptable, and collaborative, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. You will be capable of managing competing priorities, working independently when required, and contributing positively as part of a broader team.
In this role, you will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, policy and process development, data analysis, reporting, strategic planning, and budget activities, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of learning and teaching across the Schools.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure the smooth delivery of all key learning and teaching operations, including exams, results, timetabling, and workforce planning.
- Provide accurate and timely administrative support to ensure compliance with University policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements across learning and teaching activities, including Work Integrated Learning (WIL), transnational education (TNE), and other specialised programs.
- Deliver high-quality customer service by responding to student and staff enquiries, providing clear advice and support, and contributing to a positive learning and teaching experience.
- Support the continuous improvement of policies, processes, and operational practices, while contributing to strategic planning, data analysis, reporting, and budget management activities.
- Contribute to course and unit-related reporting and reviews, accreditation, and operational planning.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic staff, University leaders, industry partners, and government agencies, to support the successful delivery of programs and initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated administrative experience in a complex organisation, with the ability to quickly develop an understanding of learning and teaching processes, including examinations, timetabling, results processing, and student progression.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and coordinate complex activities, including workforce planning and resource allocation, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in analysing data to support decision-making, budget control, and strategic planning, with the ability to identify insights and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills,
with the ability to build productive relationships, collaborate across diverse teams, engage with external stakeholders, and deliver high-quality service to staff and students.
- Demonstrated discretion, sound judgement and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential matters involving students, staff, and stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating education programs or similar initiatives, including managing enrolments, supporting participants, coordinating inductions, and monitoring progress, is desirable.
Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105,665 comprising base salary within the range of $80,869 to $90,312 plus 17% superannuation. How To Apply
