Machine Operator (BBBH1159) Smeaton Grange, Sydney, Australia

Salary: AUD38.5 - AUD38.5 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous steel or sheet metal experience looking for a long term position within a fast paced production setting.

ROLE

- Operate a range of sheet metal production machinery including roll formers
- Set up and monitor machinery to ensure production targets are met
- Read and interpret production drawings and specifications
- Measure and check finished products for quality and accuracy
- Safely move steel and finished products throughout the production area
- Operate a forklift or overhead crane
- Complete general production and manual handling duties
- Follow all workplace health, safety and quality procedures

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience in steel, sheet metal, or a similar manufacturing environment
- Experience operating production machinery




- Ability to read and interpret technical or production drawings
- Forklift licence and/or overhead crane experience highly advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Safety focused with good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands on, physically demanding environment
