With multiple major Government and Defence and Infrastructure projects currently underway, we’re continuing to grow our electrical workforce and are seeking experienced Electricians, Leading Hands and Supervisors to join our team.

About the Role:

MEC NT are seeking experienced Licensed Electricians, Leading Hands and Supervisors to support a range of major projects and ongoing works across Darwin and the Northern Territory.

These are hands-on roles working across commercial, industrial, infrastructure, Defence and remote projects. Depending on your experience, you may be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating project activities, mentoring apprentices and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What you'll be doing:

- Deliver electrical installations, maintenance and project works across a variety of sites

- Lead, supervise and mentor electricians, apprentices and trade assistants where applicable

- Coordinate daily project activities to ensure safe and productive delivery

- Interpret plans, specifications and project documentation

- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and quality

- Liaise with Project Managers, Supervisors, clients and subcontractors

- Assist with commissioning, testing and fault finding activities





- Work across both local Darwin projects and remote NT project sites

- Contribute to a positive team culture and strong safety outcomes

- Support project delivery from commencement through to completion

What we're looking for:

- Current Electrical Licence (essential)

- Current Driver's Licence

- Strong electrical trade background

- Excellent planning, communication and leadership skills

- Sound understanding of WHS and quality requirements

- Ability to lead by example and build a positive team culture

Favourable Attributes:

- Contractor Management or Frontline Leadership qualifications

- Previous experience in a Supervisor, Leading Hand or Foreman role

- Experience managing teams in a workshop, production or construction environment

- Defence project experience

- Remote project experience
