We are seeking a dedicated, vigilant and highly motivated Lifeguard to join our team in Port Douglas. Working aboard our vessels on the Great Barrier Reef, you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment for guests participating in snorkelling and diving activities. You will be a key part of our safety-focused team, monitoring water activities and responding to emergencies. This position is primarily based on our vessels, with opportunities to assist in shore-based operations.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include

- Monitoring guests participating in in-water activities, including snorkelling and diving
- Maintaining effective water surveillance and responding to incidents or emergencies
- Providing first aid, CPR and emergency response when required
- Assisting with guest safety briefings and instructions
- Completing relevant safety and equipment checks
- Supporting the vessel crew with general operational duties as required

About you To be considered, you will need:

- Bronze Medallion or Divemaster qualification (or higher)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current Advanced Resuscitation (O2 Provider)
- Strong swimming ability and a high level of physical fitness
- Confidence managing water safety in varying ocean and weather conditions
- Solid communication skills and a professional approach to guest safety
- Previous experience working on vessels or in marine operations is desirable




- Elements of Shipboard Safety is desirable.
