You do not need previous workplace relations experience. You do need sound judgment, strong writing skills, intellectual curiosity and the confidence to deal professionally with business owners and managers. We will provide structured on-the-job training, close mentoring and progressively more complex work as your capability develops.

- Draft employment contracts, policies, letters, articles, guidance material and member updates.
- Assist experienced Advisors with performance, conduct, leave, termination, redundancy and workplace dispute matters.
- Support preparation for Fair Work Commission matters, including correspondence, chronologies, submissions and briefing material.
- Monitor legal and industry developments and help translate them into useful information for small and medium businesses.
- Contribute to workshops, webinars and member briefings.
- Maintain accurate records of member enquiries and advice in the customer relationship management system.

- Build trusted relationships with members and identify opportunities to improve our services and resources.

About you

- A completed, or nearly completed, tertiary qualification in law, human resources, employment or industrial relations, business with an HR major, or a related discipline.
- Clear and accurate written communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts in plain English.
- Strong research and analytical skills and careful attention to detail.
- A professional and helpful communication style, with the confidence to ask questions and seek guidance.
- The ability to organise competing priorities and respond calmly to time-sensitive enquiries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and a willingness to learn customer relationship management systems.
- A responsible and ethical approach to using AI and other digital tools.
- Previous experience in workplace relations, employment law, HR, customer service, legal research or professional services will be well regarded, but is not required.
- Direct mentoring from experienced workplace relations professionals.
- Practical exposure to real workplace issues across a diverse industry.
- Structured development from research and drafting into direct advisory and advocacy work.
- Opportunities to develop written resources and present member education.
