About the role

Recognise Support Services provides direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities living in SIL Homes. This role is designed to deliver high-quality, person-centered care that empowers clients to live independently and thrive in their home environment. The position requires a strong sense of duty of care, effective communication, and teamwork to ensure participants receive consistent, safe, and compassionate support.

Key responsibilities

- Provide 24/7 live-in care on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster.
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal care, online grocery shopping, meal planning, meal preparation, and cleaning.
- Share responsibility for cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic, and welcoming home environment.
- Uphold a strong duty of care towards participants, ensuring their safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, and community engagements when required.
- Implement individualised support plans in collaboration with management to help clients achieve personal goals.
- Engage with clients through activities to support an enriching & positive living experience.
- Maintain quality communication with participants, families, and the wider care team.




- Stay in regular contact with the Team Leader to ensure continuity of care and effective coordination.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records.

About you

- Minimum 1+ years' experience in disability support or aged care.
- Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, person-centered care.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- NDIS Worker Clearance.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Medication Administration Certificate.
- Manual Handling Certificate.
