About our role:
Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics and Materials Officer will assist in providing effective and effective warehousing and logistics services across the business and based at our brand new 20,000sqm facility at Muchea which comprises a combined workshop and warehousing facility.
You’ll play a central role in coordinating a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support seamless service delivery, maintain strong operational visibility and reporting, and ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
You’ll also support continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing and logistics, helping to improve service delivery, processes and overall operational performance.
This role will be based at our Workshop located in Muchea.
Your focus in this role:
- Coordinate freight bookings, back freight requirements, manifests and freight schedules to meet project and operational requirements
- Coordinate and track inventory movements, including the redeployment,
disposal and sale of idle inventory
- Monitor in-transit inventory and ensure orders are accurately closed out through to goods receipt
- Act as a key point of contact for freight, delivery and logistics issues, coordinating timely resolution with internal and external stakeholders
- Support day-to-day warehouse and materials operations, including goods receipting and inventory management
- Support the onboarding and induction of new Stores personnel
- Manage freight purchase orders, requisitions and related administration to support operational requirements
- Support supplier performance reviews and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Monitor service delivery, quality and compliance requirements, contributing to reporting and audit activities
- Support stocktakes and operational site visits as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Warehouse & Logistics function
- Support the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor across broader operational requirements as required
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience of Warehousing and / or Logistics roles with min 2 years’ experience in at least co-ordination role
- Forklift (LF) ticket & Drivers License (min C class)
- Well versed in Chain of Responsibility and Dangerous Goods obligations with demonstrated prior learning / courses
- Freight booking, dispatch, scheduling and co-ordination experience
- Experience using ERP systems such as Pronto or SAP
