We are a small cafe in the Barton Precinct. We are excited to be using Redbrick Coffee and Fish River from Bathurst with Red brick being a Canberra-based specialty coffee roaster established in 2011. For us, coffee is more than just a drink, it is how people connect. We have carefully created a welcoming space for people to come together and enjoy our wide range of coffees.

In our venues we serve multiple espresso and filter coffees, with the belief that specialty coffee should be both approachable and accessible.

About the role

We are looking for authentic and conscientious people to join our coffee crew. We have both full time, Part Time and casual barista opportunities available in our Barton locations. Our baristas will work with multiple coffees on a daily basis and have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the products they are serving.

Training will be provided by Redbrick and the Bottega crew.

For our baristas, whether they are new to specialty coffee or have extensive experience, we offer training, development and access to a wide range of resources. Our baristas will work with the newest technologies, attend training to deepen their coffee knowledge and share exceptional coffees.

You are the right candidate if you…

- have worked previously as a barista.
- enjoy interacting with the community.
- thrive in a team environment.
- are motivated to learn, or continue to learn about specialty coffee.
- love working in a fast-paced environment, but are uncompromising when it comes to quality
- We are also willing to train the right person with no experience.

Hours are 8am to 4pm, but can be versatile for the right people

Skills and experience

Barista experience but not crucial

ability to be left alone and complete tasks

We have multiple positions available within our team, for both coffee professionals and those looking for a weekly shift or two doing something they can be passionate about.
