Programmed is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join a leading building products manufacturer based in Wollert, VIC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator looking for ongoing casual work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Afternoon/night shift: 5:00 PM - 4:00 AM
Competitive hourly rates under the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020
Primarily forklift-based duties, with some manual handling

About your new role
Operating a forklift for approximately 85% of the shift, primarily moving packs of bricks between designated areas
Working across different areas of the kiln and manufacturing facility
Assisting with general manual duties for approximately 15% of the shift
Topping up boards and wrapping packs of bricks as required
Setting up and operating machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures, where required
Inspecting products and ensuring quality standards are maintained
Following workplace health, safety and environmental procedures
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
Communicating effectively with team members to ensure the safe and efficient movement of products
Completing production records and other documentation as required
About you
Current LF Forklift Licence is essential
Previous forklift operating experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling duties when required
Ability to safely move and handle packs of bricks
Reliable, punctual and committed to workplace health and safety
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise and heat
Willing to work the advertised shift and overtime as required
Full Australian working rights
Able to complete pre-employment medical requirements if requested
Pre-employment requirements A pre-employment medical (PEM) may be required before commencement.
