About the role

We're a Perth business with two sides: a sustainability advisory consultancy, and Envago, our SaaS platform helping companies meet their climate reporting and assurance obligations. We're a team of around 40 and growing, and we need someone to own the numbers and help us run a tighter, smarter business.

Three things matter

1. Compliance and reporting - keep the books right and the reporting on time.
2. Helping us grow - show us where time and money go, and where to invest to get the most out of it.
3. Financial analysis - profitability, pricing, and the numbers behind the big calls.

Real autonomy, close to the detail. You'll work alongside our office manager (AP/AR, payroll) and external tax accountant.

What you'll do

Compliance & reporting

- Monthly management reporting - P&L; and balance sheet
- Own the finance function in Xero, and work with our tax accountant on BAS, tax and statutory compliance

Help us grow
- Spot where we can work smarter and reinvest - so we put money where it earns its keep
- Refine our timesheet and job-costing so we understand what drives our best work
- Work with our product team so our in-house operations platform captures the time, cost and financial data finance needs

- Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
- Profitability by product,



service and client - the insight behind pricing, investment and where we grow next

About you

- You've owned a finance function end to end - the senior finance person, not one of a team - ideally in a small business
- Confident running Xero end to end, with strong budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis
- Strong Excel - comfortable building and maintaining models
- Comfortable improving what's there - you make good processes better rather than rebuilding for its own sake

Nice to have

- CA/CPA-qualified, or built your track record hands-on without it - either way, we'd like to hear from you
- Professional services, consultancy or tech/SaaS experience
- Comfortable working with a product team to shape internal tools
