Your new company An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established and highly regarded independent school, based in Adelaide's northern suburbs. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will enjoy a broad and varied role encompassing management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, compliance, and business partnering responsibilities. Your new role

As a key member of the finance function, you will provide accurate financial reporting, analysis and guidance to support informed decision-making across the organisation. This role offers a balance of operational and strategic responsibilities, making it ideal for a finance professional who enjoys variety and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include

- Preparing monthly management reports, financial dashboards and variance analysis
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Managing month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing fortnightly payroll and overseeing statutory reporting requirements
- Preparing BAS, payroll tax and other compliance obligations
- Monitoring cash flow and daily banking activities
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and supporting capital expenditure reporting
- Assisting with audit preparation and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Partnering with budget holders to provide financial insights and commercial support





What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will be a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.

You will bring

- Degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Commerce
- Previous experience in management accounting, financial reporting and budgeting
- Robust payroll processing and compliance knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP or finance systems
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A hands-on approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
