An exciting opportunity to join this successful growing manufacturing business based in Brisbane’s southside who is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a broad and hands-on accounting position offering exposure across both financial and management accounting, with a particular focus on inventory, reporting and commercial analysis.
This is opportunity will equally suit someone who is looking to broaden their skills, grow and develop under an experienced mentor and take ownership of projects and current ventures.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and operational stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Month-end accounting, reconciliations and reporting
- Preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasts
- Detailed analysis of financial and operational performance
- Inventory accounting, reporting and reconciliation
- Monitoring inventory movements, stock levels and valuation
- Costing and analysis of sales and operations
- Monthly variance analysis and commentary
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the Financial Controller with statutory reporting and compliance
- Working with operational teams to improve processes and controls
Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified or working towards this, possess a broad range of hands on accounting skills with a drive and passion to create reporting efficiencies and partner with operations.
You will be a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and has a strong understanding of both financial and management accounting.
