Rochester & Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) is seeking caring, enthusiastic and community-minded individuals to join our team as Lifestyle Assistants at Yalukang Residential Aged Care .
This rewarding role supports the delivery of engaging leisure and lifestyle programs that enhance residents' wellbeing, independence, social connection and quality of life. Working under the guidance of the Lifestyle Team Leader, you will help create meaningful experiences that reflect each resident's interests, preferences, culture and individual needs.

About the Role
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will:
- Support the planning and delivery of individual and group lifestyle activities for residents
- Encourage participation in activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual wellbeing
- Assist with special events, celebrations, entertainment programs and community outings
- Complete social histories and resident profiles to help develop person-centred lifestyle programs
- Support residents living with dementia and those with individual or complex needs through tailored activities
- Foster a respectful and inclusive environment where residents' choices, dignity and individuality are valued
- Work collaboratively with nursing, care and allied health staff to support resident wellbeing
- Provide support and guidance to volunteers participating in lifestyle programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Influenza Vaccination and any other required immunisations in accordance with REDHS policy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life of older people
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- A versatile, positive and compassionate approach
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Lifestyle, Diversional Therapy, Individual Support or a related qualification
- Experience facilitating lifestyle, recreational or wellbeing programs for older people
- Knowledge of person-centred aged care practices
- Understanding of dementia-friendly engagement approachesExperience coordinating activities, events or community outings
- Sound computer and documentation skills

We are a Small Rural Health service, providing a broad range of acute, residential aged care, preventative and primary health programs to a population of approximately 8,600 people in the Campaspe and Bendigo Shires.
