Sonder Creative Marketing

Sydney

Are you wanting to grow in your marketing career?

We're looking for a creative, organised and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team at Sonder Creative Marketing.

This role is perfect for someone with 1–3 years of experience in marketing or social media who's ready to take the next step in their career. You might currently be working as a Marketing Assistant, Social Media Coordinator or in an entry-level agency role, and you're looking for an opportunity to take on more responsibility, manage your own clients and expand your marketing skillset.

We're a small, independent creative marketing agency based in Waitara, Sydney, working with a diverse range of businesses across construction, trades, lifestyle, retail and professional services.

As a small business ourselves, we understand the importance of being adaptable, resourceful and genuinely invested in the businesses we work with. We're looking for someone who appreciates the dynamics of working in a small team, enjoys getting involved in different aspects of the business and wants to grow alongside us.

Our work goes beyond simply posting on social media. We help businesses build their brands through creative content, digital marketing, advertising and strategic marketing initiatives.

We're looking for someone who loves creating great content but is equally excited by the bigger picture of marketing.

The role

As our Marketing Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating and delivering marketing activities across a portfolio of clients.

You'll be hands-on in the creative process, from visiting clients on-site to capture content, to editing engaging reels, building content calendars and communicating directly with clients.

You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in broader marketing activities, including email campaigns, paid advertising, brand development and offline marketing initiatives.

This isn't an entry-level role where you'll simply be assisting others. We're looking for someone who is ready to take ownership of their work, contribute ideas and become a trusted point of contact for our clients, with support and guidance from our wider team.

The day-to-day

Social Media & Content Creation

- Manage social media accounts for a portfolio of clients across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Plan and coordinate monthly content calendars, ensuring content aligns with each client's brand, audience and marketing objectives.
- Capture engaging photo and video content, both in our studio and on location with clients.
- Edit short-form video content, including Instagram Reels and other social-first content.
- Write engaging, on-brand captions and social media copy.
- Schedule,

publish and monitor social media content.
- Keep up with social media trends, platform updates and opportunities to improve client content.

Client & Account Coordination

- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for allocated clients, building strong and professional relationships.
- Coordinate content shoots, campaign deliverables, approvals and timelines.
- Manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Proactively identify content opportunities and bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Review social media performance and contribute to monthly client reporting.

Broader Marketing Opportunities

- Assist with the development and delivery of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Support email marketing campaigns, including EDM creation and database communications.
- Contribute to paid social media advertising campaigns, particularly through Meta Ads Manager.
- Assist with brand marketing initiatives, campaign concepts and promotional activities.
- Coordinate marketing collateral, print advertising and other offline marketing initiatives where required.

About you We're looking for someone who is creative, confident, organised and genuinely passionate about marketing.

Ideally, you'll have:

- 1–3 years of experience in a marketing, social media or content creation role.
- Proven experience managing business social media accounts, ideally across multiple clients or brands.
- Confidence creating, filming and editing engaging short-form video content.
- Experience using platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn for business.
- Strong copywriting skills and a good eye for visual content and branding.
- Experience communicating directly with clients or external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and the confidence to take ownership of tasks, solve problems and contribute ideas.
- An understanding of small business and a willingness to be hands-on, adaptable and collaborative.
- A genuine interest in learning, developing new skills and contributing to the growth of a small agency.
- A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle ,

as you'll be required to travel to client locations for content creation and meetings.

Bonus points if you have experience with:

- Canva, CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Social media scheduling and reporting tools.
- Meta Ads Manager and paid social campaigns.
- Mailchimp or other email marketing platforms.
- Brand marketing, print advertising or local area marketing.
- Working in a creative or marketing agency environment.

You don't need to tick every box. We're more interested in finding someone with a solid foundation, great initiative and the ambition to continue growing their career. Now, if you've read this far... you'll need to answer this question: Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? There's no right or wrong answer (although we're sure the team will have opinions!). Make sure you include your answer in your application. It's our little way of seeing who's taken the time to read the full job ad.
