Massage Shop Manager – Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 – $82,000 per annum + superannuation

White Waratah Boutique Thai Massage and Infrared Sauna is seeking an experienced and highly organised Massage Shop Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our massage business.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall management of the shop and our other locations within the group, including staff supervision, customer service, rostering, stock control, purchasing, operational administration and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the massage shop.
- Plan and coordinate the provision of services to customers.
- Supervise, coordinate and support massage therapists and other employees.
- Prepare staff rosters and ensure appropriate staffing levels according to business requirements.
- Recruit, train and assist with the performance management of employees.
- Monitor the quality of customer service and ensure appropriate service standards are maintained.
- Manage customer bookings, enquiries, feedback and complaints.
- Monitor stock levels and arrange purchasing of massage products, oils, linen and other supplies.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and service providers regarding pricing and supply arrangements.
- Monitor operating costs, sales performance and other aspects of the shop's financial performance.
- Assist with determining service pricing, promotions and strategies to improve sales and customer retention.
- Maintain appropriate business, staff and operational records.
- Ensure the premises,



treatment rooms and reception areas are maintained to appropriate presentation, hygiene and safety standards.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve the efficiency of the business.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and other applicable business requirements.
- Resolve staffing, customer service and operational issues as required.
- Report to the business owner/director regarding staffing, operations and business performance.

Qualifications and Experience

- Applicants should have a relevant qualification in business, management, retail/service management or a related field, together with relevant management or supervisory experience.
- Experience managing a massage, wellness, beauty or similar service-based business will be highly regarded.
- Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, together with experience in staff supervision, customer service, rostering, stock control and day-to-day business operations.
- Fluent English communication skills are essential, as the successful applicant will be required to communicate effectively with staff, customers, suppliers and service providers. Fluency in Thai is highly desirable particularly when communicating with staff.

Salary and Conditions $80,000 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.

This is a permanent full-time position working a minimum of 38 hours per week.
