Jet Set Tutors is a home tutoring team helping families across Sydney since 2024. We're looking for friendly, reliable tutors to teach one-to-one lessons in students' homes.

What you'll do

- Tutor Maths and/or English one-to-one, from Kindy to the HSC
- Plan lessons around each student's goals and school work
- Write short lesson notes in our online portal after each lesson, so parents can see how their child is going

We especially need tutors for Years 7-10 Maths and English. We also welcome an interest in tutoring other subjects such as Science and HSC subjects.

What we offer

- Pay levels: $32.50/hr (Kindy-Year 10) or $35/hr (HSC) to start, increasing by $2.50/hr per level up to $42.50/$45
- Regular pay on a fixed schedule, tracked in our portal
- Students near you: we find the students and handle scheduling, invoicing and parent communication, so you just teach
- Flexible hours that fit around uni: weekday afternoons and evenings, and weekends
- Support: training, a tutor handbook, and a team to back you up

What we're looking for:

- University student or graduate who did well in the HSC, especially in the subjects you'd tutor
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check, or willing to get one before starting
- Your own transport, or easy access to the area
- Patient, organised and valuable at explaining things simply
- At least 2-3 afternoons a week available for Term 4

How to apply: Apply with your resume and a short note covering your HSC results in the subjects you'd tutor, which suburbs you can get to, and which days you're free. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a short interview within a few days. Questions? Email [email protected]
