Whales Regional Workforce are seeking 300 Meat Process Workers (general) to start work in December 2026 for an employment period of up to 4 years. These full-time positions are located in Moe, VIC.

Key responsibilities for these positions will include:

- Processing meat, offal and tripe
- Loading meat products into chillers, freezers and trucks
- Packing boned and sliced meat into cartons
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas
- General labour, as required.

Required skills and personal attributes:

- This type of work is physically demanding, requiring a good level of general fitness and hygiene (being part of the food industry), the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time and carry out repetitive tasks.
- Workers must be reliable and motivated, be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Able to work mostly indoors, in various conditions, including controlled temperature environments, ranging from -18 degrees to 25 degrees.
- Available for shift work.
- Q-Fever immunisation is mandatory - all successful applicants must have received or be willing to receive this vaccination prior to starting work at the plant.




- All successful applicants must be willing to undertake pre-employment medicals (drug screen, hearing, general etc).

These positions are full time and successful applicants will be offered a minimum of 38 ordinary hours per week.

Pay and employment conditions are in accordance with the Meat Industry Award 2020 or the relevant EBA. The job has the potential to upskill and training will be provided. Workers must be available to work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).

All workers will be provided with extensive on-the-job training, as well all necessary PPE.
