HPS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established industrial maintenance and engineering company servicing major clients across Perth and regional Western Australia.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

- $55 per hour + penalty rates
- Permanent full-time employment
- 48-hour working weeks as standard
- Typically 10-hour working days
- $130 per day allowance when working away
- Potential company work ute for permanent employees

- Majority of work based in Perth's northern suburbs

ABOUT THE ROLE You'll be working across a variety of industrial and mechanical projects, primarily servicing Water Corporation infrastructure and other established industrial clients.

Your responsibilities will include

- Mechanical fitting, installation and maintenance
- Flange installation, alignment and bolting
- Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) works
- Industrial equipment installation and assembly
- Pipework and mechanical infrastructure installations
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Working across water infrastructure and industrial facilities
- Completing mechanical maintenance and repair works




- Maintaining high safety and workmanship standards

Most projects are located throughout Perth's northern suburbs, with occasional work across southern suburbs, Rottnest Island and regional WA.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a reliable, experienced and motivated tradesman who takes pride in delivering quality work.

Essential requirements:

- Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or equivalent
- Previous industrial mechanical fitting experience
- Experience with flanges, pipework and SMP installations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent reliability, punctuality and work ethic
- Willingness to work overtime and travel regionally when required
- Current driver's licence
- Full Australian working rights

Highly regarded:

- Previous Water Corporation or water infrastructure experience
- Working at Heights ticket
- Confined Space Entry ticket
- EWP or High Risk Work Licence
- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience
- Additional relevant industry tickets and qualifications
