FIFO | Wiluna West | 2/1 Roster | Days & Nights

About the Role

Pilbara Resource Group (PRG) is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with mobile crushing experience to join our Wiluna West operations on a FIFO 2/1 roster, working days and nights. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance across our mobile crushing fleet and associated fixed crushing plant equipment, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, plant availability and operational performance.

Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, Planner, Engineer and Operations team, you will play a key role in maintaining crushing equipment to a high standard, minimising downtime and supporting safe and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance across mobile crushing equipment and fixed crushing plant.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings and associated equipment.
- Carry out component replacements, installations, alignments and overhauls in accordance with OEM specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify equipment defects, wear and potential failures.
- Participate in planned shutdowns, major maintenance activities, commissioning and equipment testing.
- Complete maintenance work orders, inspections and records accurately.
- Work collaboratively with Operations and Maintenance teams to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
- Follow all site safety procedures,



isolation requirements, permits and legislative obligations.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

- Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Fitter within mining, processing or heavy industry.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience maintaining crushing equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, gearboxes and rotating equipment.
- Sound understanding of preventative and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and equipment documentation.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Ability to pass site medical, drug and alcohol screening requirements.
- Ability to work FIFO on a 2/1 roster, including days and nights.

Desirable:

- Previous experience maintaining mobile crushing plants and mobile crushing equipment.
- Iron ore mining experience.
- Experience with planned shutdowns and CMMS platforms.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
- Conveyor belt maintenance experience.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Relevant High Risk Work Licences.
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry qualifications.
