The Ballarat Surgicentre is looking for an experienced receptionist to join its friendly, supportive, and dedicated team of professionals.

This will be an ongoing casual position for 2 days per week.

Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· General reception duties which involve greeting patients and answering the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.

· Management of Specialists Consultation and Surgical Appointment Lists

· Processing of patient consultation claims.

· Preparation of Hospital Admission paperwork

· Creating and maintaining patient records

· Carrying out General office and administration duties The Successful candidate will have:

· Previous medical reception experience is highly desirable.

· A genuine Customer service focus and confident, caring, and professional manner.

· Possess Excellent organisational, time management and prioritization skills.

· Solid verbal and written communication.

· Possess friendly and professional telephone manner.





· Critical attention to detail in processing billing

· The ability to multi-task – prioritising patient care and work calmly in a busy yet rewarding environment.

· Strong commitment to protecting patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality.

· Excellent computer and IT literacy

Operational Hours: Monday to Friday

** Please note flexibility with shifts is required, there are variable start times during the day, with the first shift starting at 8 am. Shifts are 8 hours per day.

Note: We post the roster a minimum of 6 weeks in advance to assist with planning and supporting a work life balance.

Hourly Rate: Negotiable based on experience.

This position will suit a student who is looking to work a couple of days per week whilst completing their studies.
