Position Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and community-focused Contracts Program Coordinator to join our Student Recruitment team, based at our Toowoomba campus . This position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis, working five days per week.

Reporting to the General Manager – Industry Engagement and Strategy, this role is responsible for coordinating and developing government-funded and community-based training and employment programs, including Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) initiatives.

The position works across the full program lifecycle - from identifying community needs, funding and partnership opportunities through to program implementation, participant recruitment, stakeholder engagement, monitoring, reporting and evaluation.

A key focus of the role is building strong partnerships across community, industry and government to support positive education and employment outcomes for participants.

The role services programs across Queensland and will require travel to Aurora campuses, partner sites and other program locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring and completion of government-funded and community-focused training programs.
- Identify community needs, workforce priorities and opportunities for new funded or partnership-based programs.
- Support the preparation of funding applications, proposals, budgets, variations and associated documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, employers, councils, government agencies, employment services, support services and referral partners.
- Represent Aurora at approved community meetings, stakeholder forums and networking events.
- Develop employer partnerships that support work experience,



industry engagement and sustainable employment outcomes.
- Establish and monitor program plans, milestones, recruitment targets, delivery schedules and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate participant recruitment, onboarding and induction.
- Monitor participant eligibility, attendance, engagement, completion, employment outcomes and contractual evidence requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Aurora’s training teams, community partners and specialist services to coordinate appropriate participant support and referrals.
- Maintain accurate program records and prepare timely reports for management, partners and funding bodies.
- Identify and elevate contractual, financial, compliance, participant safety, stakeholder and reputational risks.
- Coordinate program-related activities and events, including information sessions, graduations and employer engagement activities.
- Support a safe, inclusive, culturally safe and child safe environment for all participants.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone who can combine strong program coordination skills with genuine community and stakeholder engagement.

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience coordinating vocational education, employment, community development or community-based training programs.
- Experience developing, implementing and monitoring funded programs or projects.
- Demonstrated experience building stakeholder relationships with community organisations, government agencies, employers, employment services and other partners.
- Experience contributing to funding applications, tenders, proposals, reports or other program documentation.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and elevate risks appropriately.
- Experience working with disadvantaged, diverse or vulnerable participant cohorts.




- A culturally responsive approach and commitment to providing inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Relevant qualifications in community services, human services, youth work, education, employment services, business, project management or a related discipline, or substantial equivalent experience.
- A current driver’s drivers li and willingness to travel to program locations.
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or the ability to obtain and maintain one in accordance with applicable requirements (must have).

- Identification and progression of suitable funding and partnership opportunities.
- Effective coordination of participant support and referral pathways.
