The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Operator / Leading hand to join our small, close-knit team at Sunrise Dam. The role is responsible for the operational planning, direction and supervision of the ore sorting operation.
Cape Dunstans are responsible for the removal of tramp metal and waste from the contaminated ore streams.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a key role in safe and efficient plant operations, including:
- Direction and supervision of the operations and maintenance teams
- Removal of tramp metal and waste from contaminated ore
- Identifying and managing oversize material
- Assisting maintenance teams with servicing
- Maintaining accurate pre-starts, logs, and timesheets
- Ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with site procedures
- Contributing to production targets while maintaining plant integrity
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience operating Loaders and Excavators
- Ability to assist maintenance teams with mechanical tasks
- Current Driver’s Licence (HR)
- White Card
- Robust commitment to safety and teamwork
