Up-to-date Workplace Engineer – Intune

We're looking for an experienced Modern Workplace Engineer with strong Intune expertise to join a Perth-based organisation on a 6-month initial rolling contract. You'll come in, assess the current state of their Intune environment and get it working properly again.

The role suits a hands-on endpoint specialist who enjoys untangling a messy environment, fixing what's broken and leaving it stable, secure and well documented.

You'll work closely with the infrastructure team and IT leadership to review and fix the organisation's Intune environment. The focus is on app deployment, configuration policies and device profiles, so devices are managed consistently, apps install reliably and compliance is enforced.

Key responsibilities include:

· Assess the current state of the Intune environment and identify gaps, misconfigurations and risks.

· Remediate and rebuild app deployment and packaging processes.

· Review, clean up and standardise configuration policies and device profiles.

· Set up and enforce compliance policies and Conditional Access alignment.

· Fix enrolment and Autopilot issues across the device fleet.

· Troubleshoot and resolve escalated endpoint issues.

· Document the environment,



standards and handover materials for BAU support.

· Advise on best practice and future improvements for endpoint management.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Proven hands-on experience as a Modern Workplace or Endpoint Engineer in an enterprise environment.

· Track record of remediating or rebuilding an existing Intune environment.

· Strong experience with app deployment and packaging (Win32, MSIX, LOB apps).

· Deep knowledge of configuration profiles, compliance policies and Conditional Access.

· Experience with Windows Autopilot and device enrolment.

· Solid understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365.

· SCCM / co-management experience highly regarded.

· PowerShell scripting experience well regarded.

· Microsoft certifications (e.g. MD-102, MS-102) highly regarded.

· Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
