Mona is seeking friendly, switched-on Retail Assistants to join the Mona Shop team on a casual basis over the summer season. The Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) challenges conventions through its eclectic and provocative collection of art and artifacts, sparking dialogue and redefining the museum experience. This role offers the opportunity to be part of the visitor experience at Mona, have a lot of fun, learn current skills, and sell heaps of provocative chocolates.

We're locking in a weekend team for the summer. You'll work one to two shifts a week, and you'll need to be available on both Saturdays and Sundays. If you're studying or looking for regular weekend work that fits around the rest of your life, this is a good fit.

The Gig:

- Provide stellar customer service that adds to the overall visitor experience at Mona
- Ruthlessly (or at least semi-ruthlessly)



take advantage of opportunities to upsell
- Help with stocktake, inventory and the occasional less-fun task

The You:

- Available every Saturday and Sunday across the summer season (essential)
- Great with people, with a good work ethic (essential)
- Upbeat, engaged and quick to pick up new skills and processes (essential)
- A team player (essential)
- Retail, hospitality or other customer-facing experience (desirable, but we'll train the right person)
