NDIS Finance Business Partner

Part-time | Logan Central

Help shape the financial direction of a growing NDIS provider.

Inclusive Solutions Australia (ISA) is seeking a hands-on Finance Business Partner to work directly with our CEO, strengthen financial reporting and support our next stage of growth.

We need someone with strong accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills and practical Xero experience who can turn business ideas and operational information into accurate forecasts, financial models and clear recommendations.

This role combines practical delivery with strategic thinking. You will personally build and maintain the tools and reports that help ISA understand performance, manage cash flow and make informed decisions.

The role

Working alongside our Accounts Manager, you will own financial planning, analysis and management reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

- Cash-flow projections: maintain a rolling cash-flow forecast, identify emerging pressures and recommend action.

- Budgeting and annual planning: translate business plans into budgets, forecasts and growth scenarios, documenting assumptions and reviewing actual results.

- Management and board reporting: produce timely reports explaining financial performance, margins, budget variances, cash position and matters requiring decisions.

- Service costing and profitability: analyse revenue, workforce costs and overheads across participants, services and business activities.

- Participant retention and growth: assess the financial impact of new participants, exits, changes in support hours and service demand.

- Revenue analysis: connect service agreements,

rostered and delivered supports, invoicing and cash received to identify gaps and improve financial performance.

- Financial modelling: evaluate recruitment, expansion, investment and incentive proposals, including potential BDM profit-sharing arrangements.

- Reporting improvements: combine data from Xero and operational systems to develop reliable, repeatable Excel models and reports.

- Financial oversight: review month-end information, investigate discrepancies and strengthen controls with the Accounts Manager and external accountant.

- CEO collaboration: turn business questions into structured analysis, explain findings, recommend actions and track progress.

Our Accounts Manager owns daily payroll, invoicing, reconciliations, collections and rent follow-up. You will work closely together to ensure accurate records support effective planning and reporting.

What you will bring

- A relevant accounting or finance qualification and practical experience in forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis or management reporting.

- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, pivot tables and combining data from multiple sources. Power Query experience is highly regarded.

- Solid Xero capability,

including extracting and interpreting reports and investigating account discrepancies.

- Sound understanding of financial statements, cash flow, employment costs and service margins.

- The ability to check data, test assumptions and build models that others can understand and maintain.

- Clear communication and confidence working directly with a CEO and operational managers.

- Strong judgement, attention to detail, confidentiality and ownership of agreed deliverables.

- Experience in the NDIS, disability, community services or another workforce-intensive service business would be advantageous. CA or CPA qualifications, or progress towards them, would also be valued.

Working arrangements

This is a part-time appointment requiring consistent, dedicated availability and regular working time with our CEO and team. You will personally deliver forecasts, models and management reports to agreed deadlines.

Hours and remuneration will be discussed according to experience, availability and the agreed scope. The role offers the opportunity to develop financial planning and reporting processes as ISA grows.

Apply

Please submit your résumé and a brief cover letter outlining your Excel and Xero capability, relevant forecasting and reporting experience, and availability.

Describe one financial model or reporting improvement you developed and how it supported a business decision. Please do not provide confidential employer or client information.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete a practical exercise using fictional financial data.
