The Opportunity An established food and beverage distribution business is seeking an experienced Night Operations & Distribution Manager to oversee its overnight warehouse, dispatch and delivery operations.

This is a senior, hands-on operational position suited to someone who can independently manage a busy night operation and ensure customer orders, delivery runs, vehicles, stock and warehouse activities are ready for the following day's deliveries.

The successful candidate will have significant autonomy and will be responsible for keeping the operation running efficiently when senior management is not onsite.

Key Responsibilities The role will include:

- Managing day-to-day overnight warehouse and distribution operations
- Reviewing customer orders and preparing them for dispatch
- Preparing and coordinating driver run sheets and delivery routes
- Managing picking, staging, loading and dispatch activities
- Supervising drivers and warehouse staff
- Ensuring deliveries are accurately prepared and dispatched on time
- Managing staff attendance and timesheets
- Receiving and checking incoming supplier deliveries
- Managing warehouse and cold-room organisation
- Conducting stocktakes and inventory reconciliations
- Investigating stock shortages, damages and discrepancies
- Updating stock and operational information within inventory management systems
- Maintaining appropriate stock rotation and cold-chain procedures
- Resolving staffing, delivery, stock and supplier issues during the shift
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and workplace safety standards
- Providing clear operational handovers to management

This is a hands-on management role. The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the team when required, including assisting with warehouse, picking,



staging and vehicle-loading activities.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

- Food and beverage distribution
- FMCG or wholesale distribution
- Chilled or refrigerated products
- Warehouse and transport operations
- Dispatch and delivery coordination
- Managing drivers and warehouse employees
- Stock control and inventory reconciliation
- Goods receiving
- Delivery route planning
- Inventory or warehouse management systems

Experience within dairy, foodservice, hospitality supply or refrigerated distribution would be highly regarded. Specific systems experience is not essential, as training will be provided.

Remuneration

$95,000–$110,000 + superannuation, depending on experience.
