About the role

JRC Meat Pty Ltd is seeking a Night Chef/Cook to join our team on a casual basis. This role is from 6:00pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment during evening and night shifts. Based in Cannon Hill QLD 4170, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and maintaining exceptional culinary standards during night service hours. This role is non consumer facing.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, standards and presentation requirements

- Production and assembly

- Maintain food quality, portion control and consistency across all meals prepared during night shifts

- Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

- Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient requirements to management

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of equipment and ingredients

- Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment

- Adapt to menu changes and special requests from guests or management

- Support team members and maintain positive working relationships within the kitchen

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a chef in a hospitality or food service environment

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and culinary best practices

- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene requirements in commercial kitchens

- Ability to work efficiently unsupervised





- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

- Physical capability to work standing for extended periods and lift heavy items safely

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- Flexibility and willingness to work evening and night shifts consistently

- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are highly desirable

- Experience in a similar casual or part-time capacity would be advantageous
