About the role

Dhillon Bus Charter is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Cranbourne West, Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bus services.

As Operations

Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining service quality standards. You will report to senior management and have a direct impact on the reliability, safety and customer satisfaction of our transport services.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate daily bus operations, ensuring all services run on schedule and to quality standards
- Manage and supervise operational staff, including drivers and maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime
- Respond to operational issues and disruptions, implementing effective solutions to maintain service continuity
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety protocols and company policies across all operations
- Track and analyse operational performance metrics, including on-time performance and fuel efficiency
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders regarding service updates and any disruptions
- Conduct staff briefings and ensure effective communication of operational procedures and expectations
- Investigate incidents or accidents and implement preventative measures
- Prepare reports on operational performance and submit recommendations for improvements

What we're looking for

- Strong Computer use and knowledge of applications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the transport, logistics or manufacturing sectors
- Solid knowledge of bus operations, transport regulations and safety compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff




- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in using computer systems and data analysis tools to track operational performance
- A current driver's licence including Minimum HR
- Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and practices
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in the public transport industry is highly desirable
