Decor8 Painting is a Dulux Accredited painting contractor servicing the Perth metropolitan area and regional Western Australia. Our founder has worked in the industry since 2003, and we deliver interior and exterior painting services to residential and commercial clients. Our team works to high standards of professionalism, quality and safety.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a qualified Painting Trades Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial projects across Perth, with occasional work at regional sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling, patching and gap filling

· Apply primers, undercoats and finishing coats to interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, timber, doors, windows, fascia, eaves, gutters, rendered walls and metalwork

· Apply specialist finishes and textured coatings as required

· Undertake maintenance painting and protective coating work

· Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve the correct colour and consistency

· Erect and use ladders, trestles and scaffolding safely, and work at heights where required

· Protect surrounding areas and furnishings, and leave work sites clean and tidy

· Follow project specifications and work instructions accurately





· Comply with workplace health and safety requirements at all times

· Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time and to a high standard

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR at least 3 years of relevant full-time work experience as a painter

· Sound knowledge of paint products, coatings and application techniques

· Experience in both residential and commercial painting

· Strong attention to detail and pride in quality finishes

· Ability to work at heights and on ladders and scaffolding

· Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

· Reliable, punctual and able to manage time to meet deadlines

· Current White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain one

· Current driver's licence (preferred)

· Annual salary from $75000 plus superannuation to commensurate with skills and experience. Indicative hourly rate from $35 plus superannuation.
