About the role

We are seeking a qualified Painting Trades Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial projects across Perth, with occasional work at regional sites.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling, patching and gap filling

- Apply primers, undercoats and finishing coats to interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, timber, doors, windows, fascia, eaves, gutters, rendered walls and metalwork

- Apply specialist finishes and textured coatings as required

- Undertake maintenance painting and protective coating work

- Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve the correct colour and consistency

- Erect and use ladders, trestles and scaffolding safely, and work at heights where required

- Protect surrounding areas and furnishings, and leave work sites clean and tidy

- Follow project specifications and work instructions accurately

- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements at all times

- Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time and to a high standard

About you

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of relevant experience,



OR at least 3 years of relevant full time work experience as a painter

- Sound knowledge of paint products, coatings and application techniques

- Experience in both residential and commercial painting

- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality finishes

- Ability to work at heights and on ladders and scaffolding

- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

- Reliable, punctual and able to manage time to meet deadlines

- Current White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain one

- Current driver's licence (preferred)
