About Doveston Health
Doveston Health is a growing multidisciplinary allied health clinic located in Morayfield.
Our team provides Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Podiatry, Dietetics and Diabetes Education services to a broad range of patients across private, Medicare, NDIS, DVA, Home Care Package, WorkCover and other funding streams.
We pride ourselves on providing a professional, friendly and supportive experience from the moment a patient first contacts our clinic.
We are now looking for an organised, personable and proactive Medical Receptionist / Administration team member to join our growing team.
About the Opportunity
This position will initially be approximately 2–3 days per week on a permanent part time basis, providing the successful applicant with an opportunity to learn our systems, our patients and the day-to-day operations of Doveston Health.
In the New Year, the position will increase to full-time hours to provide maternity leave coverage for an existing member of our administration team.
For the right person, the chance does not necessarily end there.
If the successful applicant demonstrates exceptional ability, reliability, initiative and a strong fit within our team, there will be an opportunity for the position to transition into a permanent full-time role moving forward.
We are therefore looking for someone who is interested in more than simply filling a reception position. We want someone who can grow into the role, take ownership of their responsibilities and potentially become a long-term member of the Doveston Health team.
The Role
This is a varied front-of-house and administration position supporting our patients, practitioners and management team.
Your responsibilities will include
- Greeting patients and providing a welcoming front-of-house experience

- Managing practitioner diaries and assisting with efficient scheduling
- Processing new patient referrals
- Following up patients regarding appointments, referrals and required information

- Maintaining patient documentation and records
- Communicating with referrers, support coordinators, case managers and other stakeholders
- Supporting patient recalls and rebooking processes
- Assisting practitioners and management with general administrative tasks
- Helping maintain an organised, efficient and professional clinic environment
About You We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with people
- Professional both face-to-face and over the phone
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and accountable
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Confident using computers and learning new software
- Proactive and willing to take initiative
- A strong communicator
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take on additional responsibility as they develop within the role
Experience Previous experience in allied health, medical reception or healthcare administration would be highly regarded, particularly experience with:
- Medical or allied health reception
- Practice management software such as Cliniko
- Medicare
- NDIS
- DVA
- WorkCover

- Healthcare billing and invoicing
However, healthcare experience is not essential. We are happy to train the right person if they demonstrate excellent communication skills, reliability, initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
Hours & Career Progression The position will initially involve approximately 2–3 days per week.
The successful applicant must have the ability to increase to full-time hours in the New Year while providing maternity leave coverage for an existing team member.
Following the maternity leave period, an exceptional performer may be offered an ongoing permanent full-time position.
This provides a genuine opportunity to establish yourself within Doveston Health and potentially build a long-term career as the clinic continues to grow.
Remuneration
$28.00–$32.00 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience and suitability for the role.
