About the role
Working closely with management and administration team, you'll be responsible for keeping payroll accurate, compliant and running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Processing fortnightly payroll
- Understand and apply contemporary awards
- Managing classifications, allowances, overtime, penalties and other Award conditions
- Process leave applications and maintaining employee records
- Managing PAYG withholding and superannuation requirements, including PayDay Super
- Assist with Coal LSL reporting
- Assist with end-of-month reporting and reconciliations
- Providing general finance and administration support
About you
- Proven payroll experience
- Strong practical experience with the Black Coal Mining Award
- Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Great communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
