the authentics co. recruit is partnering with an established international investment bank to appoint a People & Payroll Analyst to its Sydney-based People & Culture team. You'll join a small, close-knit HR team within a globally connected organisation of scale, working alongside an experienced and supportive leader who is genuinely invested in coaching and developing their people .

The position

This is a varied, hands-on role combining ANZ payroll delivery through an outsourced provider with exposure to broader HR operations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Own and coordinate end-to-end payroll delivery with the outsourced provider, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
- Manage payroll inputs, employee changes, reconciliations, reporting and statutory obligations, acting as the key point of contact for the payroll provider .
- Support HR activities across the employee lifecycle , including onboarding, employee changes and offboarding.
- Act as a first point of contact for HR enquiries , maintaining HR systems, employee records and reporting.




- Contribute to HR projects, systems enhancements and process improvement initiatives.

About you We're looking for an emerging HR or payroll professional with practical payroll experience , an interest in broader HR operations and the ambition to develop.

You may be an HR graduate with payroll experience or a payroll professional looking to broaden your HR capability .

Essential to your success will be:

- Demonstrated experience managing and delivering payroll , with evidence of ownership across the payroll cycle.
- Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, compliance and statutory obligations .
- An HR or related qualification , or practical exposure to broader HR operations.
- Confidence with payroll and HR systems , alongside strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Experience working with an outsourced payroll provider or within financial services or another regulated setting would be advantageous, but is not essential. Above all, you'll bring curiosity, initiative and a genuine willingness to learn and contribute .
