About us Reignite Health provides physiotherapy and exercise services to retirement villages across Sydney and the Central Coast. For five years, we've helped independent older adults keep their freedom. We like to treat our clients like athletes, training them to avoid aged care homes and keep enjoying everyday life with the people they love.
We're a supportive, growing team, and we're looking for a physiotherapist to run our clinics in Western Sydney.
What your week looks like
You'll run your own clinic space inside the village, working on your own day to day with a dedicated remote team behind you. You're at one village each day, so there's no travel during the workday.
Tuesdays at Rochford Place: You lead two group exercise classes, then see residents for 1:1 consultations.
Thursdays at Kingfisher Grove: You lead one group exercise class, then move into 1:1 consultations.
In your 1:1 sessions, you'll assess residents, build treatment plans around their goals, and work on strength, balance and mobility to reduce fall risk. You'll talk to residents and their families through exercises and mobility aids. In classes, you'll adapt movements so everyone can take part safely.
You'll also take payments from private clients on a HICAPS terminal and keep treatment notes and bookings up to date in splose. Our remote admin team handles government invoicing and the paperwork around them. You'll collaborate with the village staff on site.
What you'll need
- Current AHPRA registration
- At least one year's experience as a physiotherapist
- A warm manner with older adults, and the ability to build rapport quickly with residents, families and village staff
- The organisation to manage your own caseload across two locations
- Practical knowledge of mobility aids
- Right to work in Australia (citizen, permanent resident or valid working visa)
- Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- A personal laptop, tablet or mobile phone for clinical notes and team communication
- A bonus, not a must: private practice experience, strength and conditioning experience, or experience with older adults. Experience with splose and Google Workspace helps, but we'll show you the ropes.
Why you'll like it
- Work with lovely residents and onsite village teams, with a supportive remote team on hand
- We expect this role to grow into full days as client lists grow
- Pro-rata benefits: 4 weeks' paid annual leave, 2 weeks' paid wellness leave, a 12-week parental leave top-up and a $1,000 annual CPD allowance
- You'll see people get stronger. Here's what our clients say:
"I am so much stronger than when I first arrived and my balance is better." (Michelle, 79) "The classes are so beneficial, I feel they are keeping me 'young'." (Rosemary, 93)
Pay: $42.00 – $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
Benefits
- Parental leave
- Professional development assistance
Experience:
- Physiotherapy: 1 year (Required)
