We are currently looking for experienced Pipe Fitters with a strong mechanical background for work at the Ampol Refinery in Brisbane.
- Start Date: 19 October 2026
- End Date : 26 December 2026
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 hours per day
- Drive In - Drive Out (DIDO)
- Local Brisbane candidates are strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipe fitting and mechanical installation work
- Installation, assembly and maintenance of piping systems
- Working with threaded pipe connections,
fittings and mechanical joints
- Reading and interpreting piping drawings, isometric drawings and specifications
- Measuring, cutting, fitting and aligning pipework
- Installation of valves, flanges, fittings and associated components
- Bolt-up and mechanical connection work
- Assisting with equipment and piping modifications
- Carrying out work safely in a refinery environment
- Following site procedures, SWMS/JSA and permit requirements
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and housekeeping
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter / Mechanical Fitter
- Solid mechanical fitting background
- Experience with threaded connections and pipe fittings
- Industrial / refinery / oil & gas experience highly regarded
- Ability to read drawings and work independently
- Robust commitment to safety
- Relevant Australian tickets and site experience preferred
- Must be available for the full project period
