Planning Manager

Samsung C&T; has long been active in the energy business having delivered projects across the globe including Australian geography. These cover projects ranging from renewable energy generation, Transmission Lines and Gas power generation.

To strengthen our team, and in pursuit of current business opportunities, we are seeking an experienced Planning Manager for Energy projects in Victoria.

- Understanding of in principles of planning, project scope, project delivery manual, project management plans and organisational planning procedures and guidelines
- Understanding of pre-contracts, SQE management systems, compliance and reporting procedures, and skills in quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment
- Skilled in developing and managing stakeholder groups across the business and in external support areas
- Skilled in document and record management process and procedures
- Skilled in implementing a planning process and/or product system of audits and schedules




- Ensure establishment and maintenance of all supplier and sub-contractor programs and incorporate into the Project target programs
- Ensure the effective coordination of document control, such that programs are issued in accordance with the Project procedures and version controlled and filed correctly through document control systems
- Implement controls to monitor, review and report the progress of project planning against milestones to identify issues and manage any corrective actions as required
- Implement a comprehensive regime of monitoring and updating of all programs, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Prepare planning reports containing accurate and complete data of the current status of the project including project status in respect of time and any corrective actions that are required

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Planning disciplines
- 10+ years’ experience in Construction, Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering and Planning
- Experienced with Energy Projects or large infrastructure projects
- Attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Experience working in high-risk, high pressure and fast paced environments
- Understanding of pre-contracts, compliance and reporting procedures
- Sound knowledge of the Project delivery manual and Project Management plans
- Knowledge of compliance and reporting procedures
- Strategic planning and establishing policies/procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
