About the role

As our Pre-Delivery Leading Hand, you will be the vital link between our Workshop Supervisors, Technicians, Parts team, and Sales team. You will drive operational excellence by overseeing the entire pre-delivery lifecycle, from scheduling machine movements and issuing parts to technical guidance, final quality assurance, and function testing before sales handover.

Key responsibilities

- Participate in daily toolbox meetings, coordinate machine movements into the workshop, collaborate with Sales and Service Managers on monthly delivery targets, and manage subcontractor scheduling
- Guide Technicians and Auto Electricians on complex accessory/fitting installations based on sales specifications and manufacturer fitting instructions
- Inspect and issue pre-picked parts tubs and attachments, quickly resolving minor discrepancies directly with the Parts team
- Conduct initial and final quality checks, perform full function testing on Manitou and Kobelco machinery, sign off on completed pre-delivery checklists, and ensure all non-conformances are rectified before sales handover
- Monitor workflow productivity, support team skill development, and champion high standards of workshop safety and organisation

About you

- Proven background in heavy machinery, earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery, commercial trucks,



or automotive industries
- Strong mechanical knowledge and an ability to interpret technical diagrams, fitting instructions, and customer specifications
- Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman, Senior Technician, Team Leader, or Leading Hand with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality control
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams (Service, Parts, Sales, and Suppliers)
- A valid driver's licence
- High Risk Work Licences (Forklift - LF, Order Picker / Boom - WP) are advantageous
- Full working rights in Australia
