St Anthony's School, Wanneroo, is a co-educational double stream Catholic school that caters for over 440 students and their families from 3-Year-old Kindergarten to Year 6. About the role

St Anthony's School, Wanneroo, is seeking an enthusiastic Social Worker who will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team, St Anthony's staff, students and members of the parent community. This is a two day per week part time role, working from 8 am - 4 pm. Days of the week can be negotiated on appointment of the successful candidate.

The role will be commencing in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

- Partner with students, families and key staff to enhance student well-being and demonstrate solid, respectful and effective communication with parents

- Deliver a best practice approach to intervention, including individual and collective counselling methodologies





- Adhere to CEWA and St Anthony's policies and procedures in the delivery of student support services

- Advocate for the well-being of students and prioritise a culture of child safety with the school, consistently applying the principles and practices of the CEWA Childsafe Framework

- Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and facilitate preventative programs

- Explore, network and enhance relations with internal parties and external organisations to support the delivery of programs

- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed education and implement programs that support students' social and emotional wellbeing

- Support the Catholic ethos

- Create newsletter articles to support parents and the school community

About you

- A degree in Social Work or similar tertiary qualification

- Eligibility for membership of AASW

- Accreditation to work in a Catholic School or willingness to work towards this

- Experience with the Rainbows Program would be an advantage
